I examine the connection between the knitted structure and the material it is made of. 

To explore this theme I knitted in the manual knitting machine materials which are not traditionally used for textile:

steel cable, electric wire, silicone tube and nylon thread.

My goal was creating a new knitted fabric with main properties of rigidty, stablity, durability, strength, resistance to friction and erosion, folding and weight carrying abilities.
